Javier Salvatierra

Javier Z. Salvatierra, 67 of Odessa, went to be with his Lord Jesus on February 9, 2016 in Odessa, Texas.

A prayer service will be held at 7pm Thursday February 11, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, February 12, 2016 at Centro Familiar Nueva Esperanza with Pastor Emilio Bustamante officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home.

Javier was born in Villa Ocampo, Mexico on March 18, 1948 to Alberto Salvatierra and Emma Zaragoza. He went to school at La Rueda, Durango. He married Irene Hurtado on February 11, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois. He worked as a painter for Ref.Chem for twenty years. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a gifted counselor and evangelist by heart. He had the jail ministry and visited the hospitals to pray for the ill.

Javier is preceded in death by his parents.

Javier is survived by his loving wife, Irene Salvatierra, four children - Irene (Alonzo) Torres, Javier (Berenice) Salvatierra Jr., Keren (Mauro) Aguirre, Isai Salvatierra. Grandchildren; Javier Salvatierra, Alonzo Torres, Adaly Salvatierra, Gethsemany Aguirre, Bethsaida Torres, Jareth Salvatierra, Eli Aguirre, Caleb Salvatierra. Brothers - Alberto Barron, Dagoberto Salvatierra, Armando Salvatierra, Sergio Salvatierra and sister Lucina Salvatierra.
