John L. Daniel, IV, 30, of Odessa, Texas passed away on June 12, 2016 in Odessa, Texas.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
John L. Daniel, IV was born in Odessa, Texas to John L. Daniel, III and Donna Bird on February 26, 1986. He went to school at Permian High School in Odessa. He served in the infantry in the U.S. Army. During tours in Iraq and Afghanistan he received several medals such as, Afghani Campaign medal with Campaign Star, Army Commendation medal, Army Achievement medal, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Iraq Campaign medal with Campaign Star as well as an Army Service Ribbon and the NATO medal.
Daniel is preceded in death by his grandfather, John L. Daniel, Jr. and his poppy, Donald L. Vincent.
Daniel is survived by his mother and step-father, Donna Bird and Lee Royce of Odessa, Texas, his sister, Taylor Daniel of Lewisville, Texas, his father John L. Daniel, III of Pecos, Texas, his grandmothers, Edith Vincent of Odessa, Texas and Nancy Sain of Tulia, Texas, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
