Johnnie Orville Jordan, passed away on February 4, 2022, in Odessa, Texas

A memorial service will be held on Thursday February 10, 2022, at 4th & Bois D’arc Church of Christ in Pecos at 10:30am. Officiated by Pastor Jorge Perez.

Johnnie was born on June 13, 1935, in Ventura, California to Johnnie R. & Lillie E. Jordan.

Johnnie Married Wilma Ann Jordan in 1955, They were married 64 years until her passing in 2020.

Johnnie and Wilma were inseparable, they enjoyed traveling to Fort Davis to spend time with many friends from all around. Cloudcroft, New Mexico was among one of their favorite destinations to see the mountains and all the wildlife such the elk, deer, racoons, squirrels, hummingbirds, bear and skunks too! They invited friends and family at times to join them no matter which direction they were headed. He also liked to lead singing not only at home in Pecos but any church they ever visited. They enjoyed singing together as long as it was possible.

Johnnie was a parts manager for Blake Motor Co. in Kermit, Valley Motor Co., and Robinson Chevrolet in Pecos. He then went to work for Enron until his retirement in 1993

Johnnie’s specialty was his green thumb, which he inherited from his father. He had the knack of growing just about anything, He would grow, tomatoes, Squash, Zucchini, watermelon, cantaloupe, amongst many other fruits and vegetables. He had the ability to grow just about anything that he planted. Johnnie always had the best flower garden in all of Pecos at one time. He was also a handyman; He was constantly fixing anything and everything he could.

He is proceeded in death by his Loving Wife, Wilma A. Jordan, His parents, Johnnie R & Lillie E. Jordan, and grandson Ellis Caskey.

He is survived by his, Daughter and Son-in-law Joyce & Jerry Cagle of Odessa. Granddaughters, Christa Knox of Odessa. Great-Grandsons, Ellis Elder of Odessa & Great-Granddaughter’s, Emma Knox of Odessa, and A J Knox of Frisco.
