Johnny Miles O’Neal, fondly known as JM or Uncle Johnny, was born October 2, 1932, in Eloise, Texas. He was the sixth child of twelve born to the late Henry O’Neal Sr., and Dovie Clement O’Neal.
In the late afternoon of October 4, 2022, Johnny Miles O’Neal fell asleep in the arms of his savior as the angels came to take him home to Glory where he entered eternal rest.
He was united in marriage in 1951 to Carrie Stuart in Eloise Texas. In 1957 the family moved to Odessa, Texas. Johnny worked as a service maintenance his entire career until he retired in 2005. If there ever were a person with a GOLDEN HEART it was Johnny, as you might not know his heart was on the wrong side of his body (right) the Doctors discovered this on one of his trips to the hospital. It is one in a million! All who met him love and was always around him. He was most in his element when his friends would find him wherever he was just to reminisce about the good old days. JM or Uncle Johnny was well loved.
He is preceded in death by parents Henry and Dovie O’Neal; five sisters: Ruby Green, Velma Sanders, Gladys Jones, Mary Crawford, Charlie Vera Fulton, five brothers: Allen O’Neal Sr., Henry O’Neal Jr., Archie O’Neal, Frank O’Neal, Bobby O’Neal, one son; Johnny Miles O’Neal Jr. one grandson: Troval (Ty Ty) Crisp, and one great grandson Adam Marshall jr.
Johnny leaves to cherish and honor his memory; Ex-wife Carrie Stuart Simon, San Angelo, Texas, Son: Reverend Reggunal (Patricia) O’Neal, Daughters: Rose Hammond, Odessa, Texas, Betty (Elder Herbert) Crisp, Midland, Texas, Carolyn Faye (Miller) Hall, San Angelo, Texas, and Debra Kaye (David) Godfrey, San Angelo, Texas, Sister Hazel Hardin, Crowley Texas. Thirteen grandchildren, Twenty-Three great grandchildren, and Nine great-great-grandchildren. A host if nieces, nephews, cousin, and many, many, many friends.
