Johnny Perez Jr.

Johnny "Papi" Perez, Jr., 62, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will be held at Martinez Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 9 am 9 pm, with Rosary at 7 pm on Wednesday.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Tony Franco officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
Johnny was born in Midland, Texas to Juan and Nico Perez on May 24, 1956.
Johnny, who was born with Down Syndrome, lived a full and happy life. Family was the center of his life and he brought joy to everyone who met him. Though he never had children of his own, he was "Uncle Papi" to his many nieces and nephews and he took pride in caring for the kids. He loved to watch wrestling and Rocky movies and he would impress with his dance moves when Michael Jackson was on the radio. Johnny will undoubtedly, be remembered by his loving and fee-spirited demeanor and by all the laughter he shared with his family.
Johnny Perez Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and by his nephew, Jose Urias Jr.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are: his two sisters -Alicia Perez, Irene Nunez and husband, Barney, both of Odessa, his three brothers- Rudy Perez and wife, Belinda, Ruben Perez and wife, Annie, both of Odessa and Robert Perez and wife, Leticia of Ft. Worth, his nieces - Melissa Arenivas, Christina Ramos, Josie Lopez, Dora Martinez, Crystal Perez, Jennifer Nunez, Nikki Mancha, Michelle Perez, Isabella Perez, and his nephews- Robert Perez Jr., John Perez, Ruben Perez Jr., Andy Perez, Emilio Perez, Nicholas Arenivas, Matthew Arenivas. Aunts - Barbara Cisneros, Dora Sanchez and Eva Perez. Uncles Gilbert Flores and Raymond Flores and numerous loving cousins.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Perez, Robert Perez, Ruben Perez, Barney Nunez, Pete Arenivas, Nicholas Arenivas
