Jose Castillo

Jose Angel ’Pepe’ Castillo 72 of Odessa passed away peacefully Monday August 1, 2022, at his residence. He was born December 20, 1949, in Pecos, Texas to Angel and Esperanza Jimenez Castillo. He was married to Argelia ‘Angie’ Hernandez. He was a Christian catholic and a welder for over 30 years. He loved to travel and ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle all over the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Teresa Castillo, and brothers Ector and Miguel Castillo.

He is survived by his wife Angie Hernandez of Odessa, daughters Amy Angela Garcia and husband Daniel, sons Jose Angel Castillo Jr, and Sidney Daniel Castillo all of Odessa. Sisters Elisa Romero and husband Ramon, Maria Irene Romero and husband Benjamin, Paula Fabela and husband Juan, and brothers Jesse and Robert Castillo.

Pepe leaves to cherish his memory 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation is set for Wednesday August 3, 2022 from 1pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home Outside Chapel.

Mass is set for 10am Thursday August 4, 2022, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Robert Bush officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Hugo Castillo, Robert Castillo Jr, Mike Castillo Jr, Ector Castillo Jr, Angel Romero, and Adam Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Adrian Hill and Leonel Romero.
