Jose Alfredo Rubio

Jose Alfredo Rubio, born on April 15, 1955, in Pecos, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, in Odessa, Texas. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Delfina Rubio, with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Jose was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who took immense pride in his family. He is survived by his children, Frances Rubio, Jose Rubio and his spouse Elizabeth Rubio, Michael Jimenez and his spouse Tracy Jimenez, Joshua Rubio and his spouse Anna Casares.

Jose's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Bianca Estrada and her spouse Fabian Sanchez, Cassandra Estrada and her spouse David Gonzalez, Lyric Valles, Isaac Rubio, Dominic Rubio, Brian Santillan, Milagros Rubio, Destiny Jimenez, Caitlyn Navarette, Jurnee Jimenez, Zaiden Jimenez, Jayden Rubio, Julia Rubio, Jacob Rubio, Jesus Mendoza, and John Albert Casares. He was also a proud great-grandfather to River Gonzalez, Cruz Sanchez, and Javier Sanchez.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Selestina and Guillermo Sr. Rubio, and is survived by his siblings: Olivia Navarrette, Gloria Machuca and her husband Joe, Willie Rubio Jr. and his wife Diana, Reyes Rubio and his wife Mary Ellen, Rebecca Granado and her husband Robert, Demetrio Rubio and wife Lisa, and Willie Rubio III.

A lover of the outdoors, Jose enjoyed fishing and hunting, often finding joy in nature. However, nothing brought him more happiness than when all his children gathered together, creating lasting memories with his family. His pets, Chito and Bella, also enriched his life, adding to the warmth of his home.

Jose's proudest accomplishments were being an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
