Jose Acosta

May 5, 1941 — December 11, 2021

Jose Salazar Acosta, (El Rano), 80, of Odessa, TX went to be with the lord on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, to the late Severa Salazar Acosta and Enemencio Acosta. Jose was a carpet layer at Pinner's Carpet for many years, he loved what he did. His favorite snack was peanuts, he played baseball, loved playing and watching golf and enjoyed watching the "cowgirls" play football on TV. If there was music playing it was a guarantee he would be dancing. In his younger days, he was known as "El Rano". His favorite sayings were "remember the alamo!", "to my knowledge", and "ready, teady to rock and roll".

He spent the last 64 years with the love of his life, Emma Acosta. He loved her so very much, and made sure her and everyone knew how much he loved her. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed being around everyone as much as he could. He spoke highly of his children and was very thankful to have them around when he needed them.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife Emma Acosta, his Daughter Severa Acosta Arenivas, and husband. His daughter Amanda Acosta Castelo, and husband Michael. His Daughter Melissa (Missy) Acosta Alvarado, and husband Raymond. His son Ricky Bueno. His two brothers and two sisters and 3 step sisters and 8 step brothers. His Grandchildren: John Adrian Arenivas, Erica Arenivas Santos, Raymond Alvarado Jr., Dana Alvarado, Brttany Acosta, Cody Castelo, Melanie Bueno, Cassandra Bueno, and Marcus Bueno. He proceeded to his heavenly home by his Parents and his Son Joe (Joey) Israel Acosta.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, etc. He will be greatly missed.
