Josephine Rangel

Josephine Rangel 78, of Odessa passed away on February 12, 2022 in Odessa.

Rosary will be 12pm Friday February 18 at St. Anthony’s Church 1321 West Monahans, Odessa, TX 79763.  Funeral service following immediately after with Fr. Chavez officiating.  Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Josy was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Victor and Dolores Sanchez on October 28th, 1943.  She married the love of her life, Cruz Rangel, Jr. on October 7th, 1961 in Odessa, TX.She retired from Ector County school system after 25 years of service at Milam Elementary. She had a great group of friends and maintained long life friendships.

Josephine is preceded in death by father Victor Sanchez,  mother Dolores Sanchez, brother Robert Lee Sanchez, brother Benjamin Sanchez, brother Edward Sanchez.

Josephine is survived by her husband Cruz Rangel, Jr., two daughters Brenda Rangel (Eddie Martinez), Belinda Carrasco (Jay Robinson) Sister Katherine Saldivar (Roy Saldivar), brother Victor Sanchez Jr (Gloria Sanchez). Three grandchildren: Jeannete Fuentes, Sadee Carrasco, Sianna Carrasco. Six great grandchildren: Jaedyn Fuentes (Isabella), Jagger DeLafuente (Michaela) Alyssa DeLafuente (Alex), Joryen DeLafuente, Jazlyn DeLafuente, Malay Palma, Lennox Ybarra. Two great great grandchildren:  Emerson and Easton Fuentes Many great nephews and nieces
