Juan Rodriguez

Juan Rodriguez, 85 years old, passed away January 5, 2020 at Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, TX.

Visitation and Rosary will be Wednesday January 8, 2020 from 9am to 9pm at Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary at 7pm.  Mass will be celebrated at 2 pm Thursday January 9, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Bernardito Getigan, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Juan Rodriguez was born Ojinga, Chih., to Don Juan and Pilar Rodriguez on October 9, 1934.  He married Carmen Ortega on January 23, 1960 in Van Horn, Tx.  He worked for Blakely Construction for 23 years and retired from Schlumberger as a Lease Operator.

Juan was preceded in death by parents Don Juan and Pilar Rodriguez. Sisters- Dora Tarin, Alicia Garcia, Socorro Rodriguez, Delma Rodriguez, Elia Ortega, Zulema Reyes and Hortencia Mendoza.

He is survived by his wife Carmen Rodriguez, two sons Victor Rodriguez, Johnny Rodriguez and one daughter Mona Rodriguez; one sister Belia (Lulu) Munoz.

Pallbearers will be: Jake Rodriguez, Chris Alvarez, Fernando Reyes, Guillermo “Willie” Mendoza, Merced Valdez, Guadalupe “Chito” Ramirez, and William Ortega.  Honorary:  Rene Gonzales, Tony Bonilla, Mario Ortega, Efren Ortega, Raymond Chavez, Omar Ortega, Mark Aguilar and Paul Rodriguez.

Arrangements are entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory.
