Katie Parker

Katie Parker, 84 of Odessa passed away on November 10, 2016 in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. Matthew Baptist Church with Christopher Redden officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
Katie Parker was born in Jefferson Texas to Willie & Irene Holt on November 17, 1931.
She attended Central High School in Jefferson, Texas. She married Richard Parker on April 4, 1964 in Midland, Texas. She was employed with ECISD School Transportation for 22 years.
She was very faithful in her church ministries including Mission and Sunday School.
Katie is preceded in death by: Husband Richard P. Parker, Parents Willie and Irene Holt, Sisters: Viola Cooper, Dora Brown, Maudie Smith and Jerlene Holt. Aunts: Louise Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor and Ira Mae Carlisle
Katie is survived by two children: Debra Bell (Charlie) and Brenda Patterson (Joseph). Sister Mabel Caruthers, Brothers: Willie D. Holt, & Oscar J. Holt, Uncle: Jimmie Durham, Aunt Elmer Lois, Alice Touchstone Grandchildren: Reginald Bell and Christopher Bell (Natalie). Great grandchildren: Kayden Bell and Kyra Bell.
