Leonor Franco Nunez age 68 passed on November 18, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Monday November 22, 2021 from 1:00 pm- 9:00 pm, and rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Home.
Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday morning November 23, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and will be officiated by Father Bush. All arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be followed at Ector County Cemetery in the Rosehill Section.
Leonor Nunez Franco was born in Monahans, Texas to Tomas and Amelia Franco on April 11, 1953 and attended school in Odessa, Texas. On January 24,1977 she married Guadalupe Nunez in Ojinaga, Chihuahua and later moved to Eunice, New Mexico where they began their beautiful family.
She precedes in death by her father Tomas Franco, her mother Amelia Franco, and brother Robert Franco.
Leonor is survived by her siblings, Roy & Diana Franco, Raul & Lydia Franco, Emma Banuelos, Belia & Rudy Martinez, Delma Guerrero, and Mary Franco;
& her children, Richard Nunez of Odessa, Texas , Angelica Montoya of Odessa, Texas, Guadalupe Nunez and his wife Elizabeth Nunez of Kermit, Texas, Lori Ann Tavarez of Odessa, Texas, Elizabeth Nunez of Odessa, Texas and Armida Nunez of Kermit, Texas.
& her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Marissa Fischer and husband Caleb Fischer, Isaac Montoya, Marco Montoya and Yamile Venegas, Amavilia Tavarez, Melissa Tavarez, Benjamin Morales, Esteban Morales, Joshua Nunez, Jonathan Nunez, Gabrielle Coronado, Giuliana Nunez, Hugo Coronado, Nicholas Coronado, Alexander Montoya, Ava Montoya and Mia Montoya.
Leonor was loved by all she encountered and was a shining light in her family that provided support, advice and loving words when needed. Leonor enjoyed cooking home made meals for her loved ones, dancing, singing, and gardening. Leonor was a devoted mother, friend, sister, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers are: Marco Montoya, Caleb Fischer, Esteban Morales, Benjamin Morales Jr., Joshua Nunez, Jonathan Nunez, and Isaac Montoya.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Michael Franco, and Rudy Martinez.
The family of Leonor Nunez Franco extends heartfelt gratitude to all doctors, nurses and healthcare providers that assisted with her care and to those who contributed to all expenses that were needed during this difficult time.
Following the Burial Services all of those who’s lives were touched by Leonor are invited to attend a gathering of remembrance of her life.
