Lila Pierce

Lila Pierce, 80, of Odessa passed away on May 19, 2014 at her residence in Odessa, Texas.

Lila Pierce was born December 20, 1931 in Gilmer, Texas to the late Willie and Mattie Woods. She received Christ as her personal savior at an early age.

Lila attended school in Colorado City, TX where she attended Wallace High School. She met and married Don L. Pierce in December 1951. In this union six children were born. Lila was employed at Medical Center for many years before she retired to stay home with her family.

Lila was proceeded in death by her father, mother, five sisters, three brothers, one grandson and two children Tommy and Nelda.

Lila leaves to cherish and honor her memory, her faithful husband of sixtytwo years, Don L. Pierce three daughters, Kathryn Jackson of Lewisville, TX, Patricia Johnson Larry of Midland, TX, Cheryl Johnson of Kermit, TX one son, Donald Pierce of Odessa, TX sister Theresa Ellis of Odessa, TX David Woods of Colorado City, TX 14 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 22, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Friday May 23, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, located on 1000 W. Clements St. at 10:00 Am with Rev. Joe Terry Jr. Officiating.

Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery Rosh hill Section.
