On December 18, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas, Linda Darnell Skinner entered into this life to proud parents of Buster Sims and Catherine Robinson. On Wednesday morning, August 22, 2018, God plucked another rose from His garden and called her home.
Linda Skinner was raised in Kermit, Texas attending school and graduating from Kermit High School in 1970. As Linda's career began to take a giant step in life, she started to work for the State of Texas in the Human Resources Department. Linda started to work as a social worker and then received a promotion as a supervisor. As months turned into years of service in this department, Linda decided it was time to retire and give more attention to her family.
She married Parnell Skinner on October 29, 1976 in Odessa, TX. They were together for 44 years.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Parnell; her mother Catherine Robinson and one brother Curtis Hannah.
She leaves to mourn her son Kevin Skinner and wife Shannon Skinner of Tampa, FL; daughter Ashlee Skinner of Odessa, TX; grandchildren Nina, K-Jay, Jace Skinner of Tampa, FL, Niya Skinner of Charlotte, NC; two sisters Brenda Franklin of Hobbs, NM, Joyce Stevens of Odessa, TX; one brother Latral Hannah of Kermit, TX; her very special friends of Houston, TX Ann Hammond and John Bowser; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
