Lionel Estrada Zertuche, 73 years, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Odessa.
Visitation will be held from 2pm to 9pm Sunday, October 21, 2018 and 9am to 9pm Monday, October 22, 2018 with a Rosary at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home.
Mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Odessa II Garden. Arrangements are under Martinez Funeral Home.
Lionel Estrada Zertuche was born in Candelaria, Texas to Fermin and Consuelo Estrada Zertuche on January 30, 1945. He attended school in Morton, Texas. He married Maria Elena Hernandez on June 20, 1971 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua. He worked as a constructionist at Blakley Construction before becoming disabled in 1985. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army.
Lionel Estrada Zertuche is preceded in death by his father, Fermin Zertuche and mother, Consuelo Estrada Zertuche.
Lionel Estrada Zertuche is survived by his wife - Maria Elena Zertuche, son - Leroy Wisenhunt, son -Lionel H. Zertuche Jr., and Gloria Munoz, daughter - Cynthia Quiroz and husband Salvador Quiroz, daughter - Veronica Zertuche and Carlos Perez, sisters - Socorro Baeza and Josephina Zertuche, brothers - Ismael Zertuche, Toby Zertuche and Joel Zertuche, 16 grandchildren - Justin Zertuche, Johnny Salazar, Roxanna Lopez, Ramiro Quiroz, Fabian Quiroz, Ethan Perez, Caden Perez, Sabrina Zertuche, Avery Zertuche, Brianna Zertuche, Brenda Villa, Arnold Villa, Arianna Zertuche, Kianna Zertuche, Lianna Zertuche, Lionel Zertuche III and 10 great-grandchildren Aven Salazar, Zayvien Zertuche, Zadren Zertuche, Ayden Lopez, Adalyn Lopez, Ambrey Lopez, Aubrily Villa, Zeus Hernandez, Camila Tercero and Carlos Tercero.
Pallbearers will be Justin Zertuche, Johnny Salazar, Ramiro Quiroz, Fabian Quiroz, Arnold Villa, Avery Zertuche, Pedro Amancio Jr., Isaac Flores.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ethan Perez, Caden Perez, Lionel Zertuche III.
