Sis. Lovie Lee Harris, a faithful Servant of God, who loved her church, family, and friends was born May 26, 1917 in Coxie Providence near Milano, Texas to the parentage Mrs. Roberta and Mr. Dee Wesley. She united with her home church in Cameron, Texas at an early age and attended school there. Upon moving to Odessa, Texas she united with the Shiloh Baptist Church under the pastorage of Pastor Pryor and continued her Christian walk. She always sang in the choir, attended Sunday School, morning services, evening services, and fellowship services with her church family. She was a very faithful member under each pastor who followed pastor Pryor: Pastor Jackson, Dunford, White, Patrick and Pastor Charles Sims as she served well until her failing health.

Sis. Harris earned her living from houSekeeping, baby sitting, baking cakes and her famous, famous Tea Cakes. During her tenure in Odessa, she received several outstanding awards and was honored by the Black Chamber of Commerce. Also, she was active in attending the City Wide Mission, and Southside Senior Citizen's Center until age 98.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lewis Vernon Davis, and her tate husbands: J. D. Davis, Robert Penny, and Levester Harris for whom she stood by and served until each of their deaths; her sisters: Murphy D. Viewins, Willie Kay Reed, Myrtle King, Armonia Wesley and Earnistine
