Lucas Soto Hermosillo, 86, beloved Father/Grandfather/Uncle/Friend, was called to his eternal resting place on December 11, 2020.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Martinez Funeral Home from 1PM until 9PM. A Rosary will be Recited at 6:00 pm on December 28, 2020
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church at 10:00am, Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Odessa II Section.
He entered this world on October 10, 1934 in Chinati, in the county of Presidio, TX, born to Jose Maria Hermosillo and Josefa Soto Hermosillo.
Lucas loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so very much; he and his wife spent many days at games, birthdays, family get together, graduations, and any type of celebrations. His family was his pride and joy! Lucas served in the U.S. Army, he was patriotic, and loved his country. In his younger years, Lucas loved music, playing multiple instruments, and loved to sing. His hobbies included golfing, deer hunting, taking care of his animals, tinkering around with anything mechanical, and keeping up with his lawn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Maria and Josefa Hermosillo, and his brother Hilario “Lalo” Hermosillo.
Lucas is survived by his wife of 60 years Basilica Hermosillo; Son, Bivian Hermosillo, Sr. and his wife Cynthia Hermosillo; Daughter, Corina Tarango and her husband Ronny Tarango; Son, David Hermosillo and his wife Wanda Darling; and Daughter, Crystal De La O and her husband Junior De La O. Lucas has nine grandsons, two granddaughters, and ten great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Juan Lucas Castillo, George Castillo, Adam Castillo, Ronny R. Tarango, Derrick Caleb Pena, Richie Lincon, Bivian Hermosillo, Jr. and Nicholaus Hermosillo.
