Lucila Barriga Renteria

Lucila Barriga Renteria was born in Presidio, TX to Asencion and Gregoria Barriga on December 15, 1950. She attended and graduated from Presidio High School. She married the love of her life, the late Alfonso N. Renteria on November 28, 1968 in Presidio, TX. She dedicated 42 years of her professional life to Presidio Independent School District where she held various positions.

Lucila is preceded in death by her “Hun” Alfonso N. Renteria, her father and mother Asencion and Gregoria Barriga, brothers Ascension Barriga Jr., Miguel Barriga, sisters Elva Sanchez, Emma B. Lopez, Lydia Galindo, Sylvia B. Holguin, in-laws Angel and Bertha Renteria, brother in-laws Aurelio Renteria and Andres Renteria.

Lucila is survived by her children Lucila R. Zuniga, Alfonso Renteria Jr., Ricardo Renteria, Lelia Ramirez, Danira Renteria, grandchildren: Elyssa, Oswaldo Jr., Elias, Cynthia, Alfonso III, Alexa, Valerie, Ricardo Pena, Yvadne, Cristallynn, Clarissannette, Adrian James, Jason Zane, Marco, Eleana, Allan; Great-grandchildren: Athena Grace, Gabriel, Gisselle, Oswaldo III, Damien, Averi, Chris Jr., Bryson, Maleyah, Jaydin, Ronnie, and Genevieve; sister Nelda Hernandez, brother Raul Barriga; in-laws: Aida Ruiz, Anna Gallegos, Arcelia Renteria, Aracely Salas, Alma Ramirez, Alberto Renteria, Angel Renteria Jr., and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be James Ramirez, Alfonso Renteria III., Oswaldo Zuniga Jr., Elias Zuniga, Carlos Guevara, and Matthew Holguin.
