She passed away on May 3, 2017 in Odessa, TX.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor S.L. Buhl, Officiating.
Burial to follow at Ector County Cemetery, Odessa Garden II.

Lucinda (PO-Dee) Watson, born to parents, Columbus (Lum) Cooper and Laura R. Cooper on January 18, 1918 in Shiro, Texas where she received her formal education.
On May 15,1948, she married the love of her life, Sherman J. Watson in Odessa, Texas.
She enjoyed cooking, and entertaining her family and others.
She was also an active and lifetime member of the Local VFW Ladies Auxiliary Veterans Organization, Post 4372 in Odessa, Texas. During her tenure with The Ladies Auxiliary, she served in several areas, and enjoyed meeting people, and learning something different from each of them.
She was preceded in death by both parents, 12 siblings, and her husband.
She is survived by her son, George Cooper, Jr., 2 adoptive nieces, Billie Ruth and Laura and their children, 4 grandchildren, George III, Herschel, Gabrielle, and Danielle, 8 great-grandchildren, and several other nieces, nephews, greats, and great-greats.
Pallbearers: Tyrone Trader, George Richardson, Herschel Williams, Aaron Cooper, Eldra Cooper, and DeModrick Fearce.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to her caretakers: Dr. Raja Naidu, Gabrielle Cooper, Shacauslyn Redic-Williams, and Keisha Richardson.
