Lurline Fowler

Lurline Bailey Fowler was born in Bryan, TX on January 18, 1925, to the parentage of James Thompson and Ella B. Bailey, and raised by her Father Albert Bailey. She attended school at Lincoln High School in Dallas, TX. She married Zonie Colonies Fowler, Jr. on September 11, 1950, in Roswell, New Mexico at St. Matthew Baptist Church by the Reverend R. L. Long. She worked as a bookkeeper for Franklins Department Store in downtown Odessa for over 20 years until it closed. She was a member of Living Vision Ministries formally known as Walker Chapel Church of God.

Lurline is preceded in death by her parents James Thompson, Albert and Ella B. Bailey; her husband: Zonie C. Fowler, Jr.; daughters: Zephry Lene Fowler Jeffrey, Patricia Ann Fowler Wallace; and seven grandchildren: Frederick D. Fowler, Anthony Q. McGee, Marquette S. Wallace, Jamie Fowler, Tavares D. Fowler, Heather H. Jeffrey, Shaniqua S. Wallace; one great grandson, Xavier M Ramos.

Lurline Bailey Fowler is survived by two sons Elbert Fowler and wife Regina of Midland, TX, James Fowler and wife Bern of Longview, TX; five daughters, Jolella Marie Washington of Odessa, TX, Glinda Fay Smith and husband Bowman of  Odessa, TX, Linda Kay Miller and James of Midland, TX, Zonia Mae Hobson and husband Bobby of EI Paso, TX, and Janet Denise Starr of Ft. Worth, TX; thirty-one grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, 39 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
