Manuel Ortiz, 79, of Odessa, passed away on September 14, 2015 in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10am Wednesday, September 15, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Rosehill Garden. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home.
Under the direction of Funeral Directors Tony Lujan and Nancy Olvera.
Manuel was born to Martin Mata and Erlinda Ortiz in Ojinaga, Chihuahua on December 25, 1935.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, and his former wife Aristea Ortiz.
Manuel is survived by his wife Magdalena Cervantes, sons; Jesus Manuel Ortiz, Ruben Armando Ortiz, Manuel Javier Ortiz, Lupe Ortiz, and Oscar Ortiz. Daughters - Leticia Ortiz, Araceli Ortijz and Sofia Ortiz, brothers - Jesus Ortiz, Ruben Ortiz, Armando Ortiz, many grandchildren and great - grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
