Manuela Granado 89, of Odessa TX
Passed away on November 25, 2014, our loving mother left this earth surrounded by her loving family, to continue her eternal life in heaven. Our mother was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening and cooking for family and friends.
No matter what time, if you visited her she would set out a meal in minutes. She knew no strangers. She was a Carmelite, in the order of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, she belonged to the Order of The Sacred Heart and a member of the Catholic Womens Organization at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Our mother was preceded in death by her father Cipriano Gonzales and mother Merced Navarrette Gonzales, her husband Jose S. Granado, her daughter Olga Barreraz and her grandson Michael L. Thompson.
She is survived by her sister Matilde Carrasco and brother Dulces Gonzales. Her son Willie Granado of Odessa , and her daughters, Olivia Ruben Carrasco of Pecos, Lydia Sylvestre Diaz of Denver City, Lali Steve Thompson of Austin, Yolanda Johnny Alaniz of
Odessa and DeAnna Jerry Vasquez of Corpus Christi, TX. 17 grandchildren and numerous great, great great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Ruben Carrasco Jr., Ricky Barreraz, Zeke Granado, Joey Thompson, Marc Almanza, and Tim Vasquez.
Our mother will lie in state, Saturday, November 29th from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday November 30th from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Home and Rosary will be at 7:00 pm at the same location.
Funeral services will be held on Monday December 1st at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 2:00 pm. with burial following at Rose Hill Garden Cemetery.
