Marcus McShurn Hawkins, 59, of Odessa, Tx, passed away on April 22,2022 in Odessa, TX.

Funeral services will be head at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 28th at St. James Baptist Church located at 2212 E. 11th St. in Odessa, Texas with the Dr. James Bolton of St. James Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home

Marcus Hawkins was born in Odessa to Bettie Hawkins and Will Hudgins on January 1, 1963. He is a graduate of Odessa High School. He worked in the Oil Filed for DNR Engine for many years. Marcus final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Marcus had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.

Marcus is preceded in death by His Father Will Hudgins, Grandmother Della Fuller, Aunties Margie Morrill and Florie Morrill.

Marcus is survived by Mother Bettie Hawkins, Son Hunter Hawkins, Granddaughter Lai’Anna Hunter, Brothers Deosmond VonTrey Hawkins and Walter McCoy, and Sister Patricia Hudgins, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of family and friends.
