Margarita Macias Zuniga was born 4/25/36 in Antonio Amaro Durango to Juan Zuniga and Bruna Varela. Margarita had humble beginnings helping her parents on their farm growing beans and corn. She was a very hard worker who strived to better her life. In 1951, She married her first husband HeZiquio Perez Jáquez and had 4 children Olga, HeZiquio ,Maria De Jesús and Jose. In 1971 she moved to Acuna Coahuila where she met the love of her life, Trinidad “Trini” Macias she married him and they shared a son together, Alvaro Macias. She was an amazing cook, who loved to play bingo, drink dance & be with her family. She was so strong willed, courageous, a burst of energy, independent, & truly an inspiration in our life. She was stern but loving, She loved dressing up ,putting on her makeup especially her signature red lipstick red hair and ruby red nails. We were privileged to share so many priceless memories, she taught us to be sincere and not be easily offended! She was a fighter a person who never let any obstacle get in the way of her goals or the life she wanted to live. We are grateful to have been old enough to know her story & how far she came to give us the life we live today. It is not goodbye it is farewell, We will see her again & it will be with her health restored with her beautiful smile beaming on us.
