Maria Chandler

Maria Chandler, 67 of Odessa passed away on September 17, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 9:00 pm on Saturday September 20, 2014 and on Sunday September 21, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home.
Rosaries will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home.
Mass will be held on Monday at 12:00 PM at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Ft. Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Maria was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico to Ysidora and Jesus Sotelo on February 2, 1947.
She married Howard Larry Chandler on May 17, 1977 in Odessa, Texas.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband Howard Larry Chandler, Brothers Francisco J. Sotelo and Miguel A. Sotelo and nephew Fernando Zaragoza.
Maria is survived by her children Janet Chandler and Howard Larry Chandler both of Odessa, TX. her twin sister Maria De Jesus Sotelo and sister Maria Isela Martinez all of Odessa, TX. Her Mother Ysidora Sotelo and her grandchildren Phoenix Lara and Judy Loya also of Odessa, TX.
Maria also had many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Pallbears will be Howard Larry Chandler, Frank Sotelo, Miguel Sotelo, Ismael V. Martinez, Jesse Martinez and Ismael Martinez.
The Family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Father Chavez, Rosa Rodriguez, Cecilia Rodriguez and Martha Alvarado, the staff at Medical Center Hospital and ORMC, the staff at Seabury Nursing Home and the nurses from Star Care.
