Maria Rios

Maria De La Luz Rios, 76, of Odessa Texas, passed away on October 6, 2021 at Odessa Regional Medical Center (ORMC). Visitation will be from 11 am to 8 pm Saturday through Tuesday at 1319 N Alleghaney Avenue Odessa TX. On Wednesday the 20th of October at 10am, Pastor Mario Martinez of Genesis will be officiating the Service at Martinez Funeral Home (outside chapel). Her final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, arrangements will be by Martinez Funeral Home.

Luz Maria Rios was born in Hidalgo Del Parral Mexico on March 22, 1945, to Gaspar Guerrero Torres and Soledad Ramirez. She completed secondary school, she was married to Jesus G Rios on May 5th 1970 in Rankin Texas. She was a homemaker and she was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista..

Luz Maria Rios is preceded in death by both her parents. Husband, brother Juan Torres of Chihuahua.

Luz Maria Rios is survived by sons Julio Sanchez Torres and wife Isela of Arizona, Jesse Rios of Odessa, daughters Margarita and husband Chuy Acevedo of San Antonio, Sandy Sanchez, Hope Rios, Brenda and husband Jaime Garza of Odessa, Dolores and husband Jose Alba of El Paso. Brothers Pedro Torres, Gaspar Torres, Luis Torres, Jorge Torres of Chihuahua, Lorenzo Torres from Monterrey, sisters Patricia Torres, Carmen Jimenez of Chihuahua, Rosa Morales Of Juarez, Elba Rios of Odessa, Jesus Torres of Colorado (who has since passed), 30 grandkids and 32 great grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Xavier Flores, Osvaldo Almeida Sanchez, Emmanuel Rios, Jorge Alba, Christopher Guardado, Kaesin Rickman, and JJ Rios.
