Maria Alicia Garcia, 79, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2021, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 12 PM to 7 PM; Rosary to commence at 7 PM at Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on August 7, 2021, in Muleshoe, Texas, with Father Heriberto Mercado of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, officiating.

Maria Alicia Garcia was born in Raymondville, Texas to Miguel and Geromina Perez on October 29, 1941. She married Manuel Rios Garcia on January 29, 1960, in Muleshoe, Texas. She worked as a private nurse for 20 years.

Maria Alicia Garcia is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Rios Garcia, parents, Miguel and Geronima Perez, brothers, Robert Perez and Mike Perez.

Maria Alicia Garcia is survived by her children, Manuel P. Garcia Jr. and his wife, Sheri Garcia, Gracie Hernandez and her husband, Bobby Hernandez, and Johnny Garcia and his wife, Elsa Garcia. Sister, Lupe Guerra, sister, Gloria De Toro and husband Rey De Toro, sister, Sylvia Castorena, brother, Ernesto Perez, brother, Tony Perez and wife Debra Perez, sister Janie Perez, and sister Mary Perez Vasquez. Grandchildren, Zackery Hernandez and Soleda Mendoza, Kennedy Garcia-Simon and husband Nicholas Simon, Madison Garcia. Step-Grandchildren, Taylor, Andy, and Connor.
