Maria Mireles

Maria Del Pilar Navarete Mireles, 83, of Odessa passed away on April 11, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.

Services for Maria are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Bob Bush officiating.  Burial will follow mass at the Ector County Cemetery, Peaceful Gardens section.

Maria was born in Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua Mexico to Jacinto and Ramona Navarete on October 20, 1936.

She attended school in Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua. She married Tiburcio Mireles Sr., May 1958, in Odessa, Texas. She worked for Ector County Independent School District for 20 years and she was a seamstress for 30 years. She enjoyed doing yard work and being a homemaker, but most importantly, she loved having family and friends over for coffee and pan dulce.  She loved to sew, and she loved spending time with her grandkids. She also loved having lunch with her husband in the park.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Tiburcio Mireles Sr.; sons, Ángel Mireles and Fernando Mireles.

Maria is survived by her sons, Tiburcio Mireles Jr., and Justin Mireles; daughter, Armida Mireles; granddaughters, Angel Mireles, Valerie Mireles, Lisa Mireles, Mandy Mireles, Abby Mireles, and Aaliyah Mireles.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Luna, Christian Ramirez, Manuel Mireles, Nat Freeman, Bryan Contreras, and Oscar Alcantar.
