Maria Isabel A. (Anchondo) Jurado, 62, Surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 in Balmorhea, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 9:00pm,  Wednesday June 9, 2021, at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel 1040 S. Dixie Blvd in Odessa TX. With a Rosary at 7:00 pm

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea Texas. (The church occupancy is at 100% Capacity, Mask are mandatory inside the church at all times)

Burial will follow at Balmorhea cemetery.

Maria Isabel A. (Anchondo) Jurado was born in Pecos, TX to Abelardo Anchondo & Benedita D. Anchondo on August 6, 1958. She went to school at Balmorhea ISD. She worked as a cashier at I-10 Fina/Uncle’s Convenience store for 30+ years. She was a very joyful woman who’s heart would outpour with love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. On her spare time she enjoyed gambling, dancing, listening to music, and spending time with her loved ones.

Maria Isabel A. (Anchondo) Jurado is preceded in death by her son Jose Jurado Jr. and Father Abelardo Anchondo.

Maria Isabel A. (Anchondo) Jurado is survived by her three daughters, Josie Jurado (Juan Ramos) of Dallas TX, Marlene Jurado (Judy Herrera) of Balmorhea TX, Trena Jurado (Sandra Calderon) of Balmorhea TX. One son, JoseLuis (Jolo) Jurado (Krystal Jurado) of Grandfalls TX. Mother Benedita D. Anchondo of Balmorhea TX. Four brother’s; Angel Dutchover (Nancy Dutchover) of Barnhart TX, Abel Anchondo of Odessa TX, Demetrio Anchondo of San Angelo TX, Eddie Anchondo (Marisa Anchondo) of Balmorhea TX.

11 Grandchildren; Kendra, Marlena, Erika, Esmeralda, Sydney, Marco Antonio, Taylor, Ximena, Jackie, Jayden, and Isabella. 7 great-grandchildren; Joel, Aundre, Xlaliy, Anayeli, Analynn, Matthew Jr., and Levee.

Pallbearers will be Kendra Ramos, Marlena Baeza, Erika Ramos Cornejo, Sydney Jurado, Taylor Jurado, Ximena Calderon, and Isabella Jurado

Honorary Pallbearers Marco Antonio Ramos, Jackie Jurado, and Jayden Jurado.

Memorials may be given to Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory, and Christ the King Catholic Church.
