Maria Luz Sanchez, 80 of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 in Odessa.
Visitation will be held from 9am to 9pm Monday, December 2, 2019 with a Rosary recited at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home.
Maria was born in Mexico on September 14, 1939 to Juan Olivas and Maria Terrazas. She married Biviano Sanchez on June 6, 1959. Maria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Maria Olivas, husband Biviano Sanchez, daughter Aida Sanchez and son Jaime Sanchez.
Maria is survived by daughter Martha (Joe) Anchondo, sons Manuel (Martha) Sanchez, Refugio Sanchez, 9 grandkids, and 11 great grandkids, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Anchondo, Arthur Sanchez, Joseph Ray Sanchez, Christopher Jordan Sanchez, Oscar Gonzales Jr., Mark Gonzales, Jimmy Sponseller and Justin Jones.
