Maria (Mary) Nunez Garcia

Maria N. Garcia of Odessa, passed away on August 21,2022 in Midland

Visitation will be on Monday from 1 - 9pm and Rosary will be at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Chavez officiating.  Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetary.  Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Maria was born in Eagle Pass, TX to Ruperto and Adelina Nunez on November 14, 1942.

She went to school in Odessa.  She married, Jesus Garcia on September 29, 1957.

She worked for Dr. John Clark as a receptionist, She worked for ECISD for over 20 years, she worked for Garcia Lath and Stucco as a bookkeeper and she volunteered as a CCD teacher at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for many years, and had been a member of the St. Joseph Parish Council.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus and by her daughter Cynthia.

Maria is survived by Sons; Sammy and Wife Virginia, Daniel, Paul, Robert and Wife Marivel, Sisters; Rosa Martinez, Alicia Cisneros, Gloria Esparza and Brothers; Pete Nunez and Antonio Nunez,  8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul Garcia, Jorge Rodriguez, Eric Palma, Lucas Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Marcos Garcia.  Honorary Pallbearers are Megan Garcia and Brittany Garcia.
