Marko Flores Rangel of Odessa, Texas, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on June 18, 2024. Born on May 17, 1971, in Odessa, Texas he was the cherished son of Estella and the late Elias Rangel. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends.
For over three decades, Marko worked as a Manual Machinist, showcasing his skill and unwavering dedication. He was employed by Atlas Pressure Control in August 2021 and took immense pride in his work, always striving to achieve excellence. Marko was a devoted husband to his wife of 36 years, Dina C. Rangel, and a loving father to his sons, Marko “Gordo” Rangel Jr. (Abigail Rangel) and Zachary Rangel (Yasmin Rangel). His grandchildren, Myah, Alexus, Aubree, and Gianni, were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Family was at the heart of everything for Marko. He shared a special bond with his siblings, Elias Rangel Jr., Oscar Rangel, Paul Rangel, and Diane Rangel. Despite life's challenges, including the loss of his grandparents Guadalupe and Florentino Flores, his father Elias, brother David, brother-in-law Adan N. Contreras Jr., nephew Bryan Contreras, and sister-in-law Elaine Trevino, Marko remained a pillar of strength and compassion.
In his free time, Marko enjoyed playing the guitar, engaging in friendly matches of Call of Duty, riding his Harley, and most importantly, spending time with his family. His incredible sense of humor and warm personality lit up every room he entered.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory from 1PM - 9PM with a Rosary at 7PM. Funeral Services will be held at 10AM Monday, June 24, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Pallbearers for the service will include Jonny Trevino, Raphael Trevino, DJ Rangel, David Rangel, Dominic Rangel, and Leonel Rangel.
Marko's legacy of love, dedication, and joy will continue in the hearts of all who knew him. His family-oriented spirit and kind heart left an unforgettable mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
