Mary Anne Ellis

Mary Anne Ellis 72, of Odessa passed away Friday March 14, 2025, at Medical Center Hospital. Mary was born on June 27, 1952, to Lewis and Deola Benjamin Ellis in Odessa, TX.

Mary worked for the ECISD as a cafeteria worker, CNA, Bank Teller, and a call center representative. She was an active member for the following organization Usher Board & Treasure and an all-around dedicated faithful member of Greater St. Johns Baptist Church.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Deola Ellis, sisters Joann White, Rose Marie Ellis, Janice Jenette Ellis, and brother Louis Vernon Elis Jr.

Mary is survived by her daughters Tina Ellis, Jayla Cox, sons Louis Clay, Durke Ellis and Willie Ellis Jr., sister Sandra Hunter and brothers Tronto Ellis and Charles Hunter.

Mary also leaves to cherish her memory 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation is set for Friday March 21, 2025, from 1pm to 9pm with a wake service at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home chapel.

A celebration of life service for Mary is set for 11am Saturday March 22, 2025, at Greater St Johns Baptist Church 212 S Muskingum Ave. with Rev E.J. Miller delivering the eulogy.

Cremation will follow at a later date

Active pallbearers are Octavius Ellis, Ryan Ellis, Malcolm Clay, Calvion Clay, Matthew Clay and DeAndre Molina.

Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Clay, Durke Ellis, Willie Ellis Jr., Charles Ellis, Autry Pryor and David White.
