Mary Taylor

Mary Helen Kager Taylor, 68, of Odessa, TX, passed away on March 16, 2020 in Odessa, TX.

Mary was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Pete and Helen Kager on May 30, 1951.

Mary went to school in Odessa, TX and graduated from Permian High School in 1969.

She graduated from Odessa College as a Medical Technologist and worked at Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, TX.

Mary was involved in her church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Odessa, TX.  She also volunteered at Meals on Wheels in Odessa, TX.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Helen Kager and her sister, Helene.

Mary is survived by her husband, Edward Taylor of Odessa, TX; her children Christina and Mark Hatfield of San Antonio, TX, Thomas and Angela Martinez of North Aurora, IL, Suzanne and Chris McCafferty of Las Vegas, NV, Jennifer and Andre Bagnasco of Homosassa, FL; brothers Alex and Judy Kager of Midland, TX, Robert and Cindy Kager of Odessa, TX; grandchildren Payton Hatfield, Piper Hatfield, Aiden Hatfield, Elidia Martinez, Sophia Martinez, Lucia Martinez, Grant Brake, Chase McCafferty, Sarah Bagnasco and Rachel Bagnasco; nieces Alexis Kager, Allison Kager, Amber Kager and nephew Jay Parekh.

The family of Mary Taylor wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Medical Center Hospital for all their diligent work.

Memorial service for Mary will be postponed due to COVID-19.  A Celebration of Life ceremony will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Odessa, TX.
