Mary Jane Renteria

Mary Jane Apodaca Renteria of Odessa, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the age of 58.

She was born September 21, 1962 in Los Lunas, New Mexico to Antonio Jose Apodaca and Priscilla Apodaca. She married Benino Renteria Sr. February 14, 2003. Our mother was a beautiful soul, she impacted many people and was loved by many.

Visitation will be held 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home (Outside Chapel) in Odessa, Texas.

A Rosary will be recited on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 7:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Odessa, Texas with Father Bernardito officiating.

Mary’s favorite hobbies were: Cooking, Gardening, watching her Dallas Cowboys and loving her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Antonio Jose Apodaca; brothers, Miguel Apodaca and Michael Apodaca.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 18 years, Benino Renteria Sr.; children, Brenda Esparza and husband Adrian, of Odessa, Vanessa Balderama and husband Roberto Sr. of Odessa, Jose Orona and wife Sulema of Odessa and Priscilla Silva and husband Mariano of Odessa; siblings, David Chavez (Maria) of Los Lunas, NM, Darlene Pineda (Tony) of Odessa, Geno Apodaca (Terry) of Levelland, Jackie Apodaca of Odessa, Chris Apodaca Sr. (Valerie)  of Odessa; grandchildren, Amya Contreras, Danika Contreras, Angie Esparza, Adriana Esparza, Roberto Balderama Jr., Jonathen Balderama, Julio Balderama, Kymberly Balderama, Fernando Lopez, Estrella Lopez, Mickaela Garcia, Layla Silva, and Madilene Silva; many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Pallbearers are as follows: Benino Renteria Sr., Roberto Balderama Jr., Jonathen Balderama, Julio Balderama, Fernando Lopez, Chris Apodaca Jr., Anthony Apodaca.
