Melecio B. Arciniega, 59, of Odessa,Tx passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at home surrounded by his beloved family. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm - 9:00pm Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary scheduled at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 19,2021 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery, Odessa II section. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home. Melecio B. Arciniega was born in La Paz De Mexico, M.P.O De Coyame to Cruz Baeza and Cruz Arciniega on February 13,1961. He married Elizabeth ( Lisie) Ramirez on February 16,1983 in Odessa, Tx. He worked in the oil field industry for many years then went into self contract roofing. He enjoyed spending time in Mexico with family. He also enjoyed evening crusies with his lovely wife and spending time with all his grandchildren. He also loved watching boxing with family. Melecio B. Arciniega is preceded in death by his parents Cruz and Cruz Arciniega, Mother in law Lupe Gallegos and Great-Granddaughter Zanay'ah Castillo. Melecio B. Arciniega is survived by his wife Lisie Arciniega Sons: Michael Arciniega (Mari), Anthony Arciniega of Odessa, Tx Carlos Martinez of Chihuahua, Ci. Daughter: Linda Chavez, Veronica Castillo (Juan) of Odessa, Tx Cruzita Medina of Kerville, Tx. Sisters: Maria I Chavez, Antonia Arciniega of Odessa, Tx Concha Arciniega of Aldama, Ci and Rosa Arciniega of La Paz, Ci . Brothers: Martin Arciniega of Gonzales, LA Crispin Arciniega of La Paz, Ci and Leandro Arciniega of Aldama, Ci. Nine grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Juan Castillo, Rene Duarte, Vanessa Roriquez, Jimmy Soltero, Michael Torres, Daniel Navarrete, Jovi Olivarez and Julian Jr Olivarez. The family of Melecio B. Arciniega wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and aids from Star Hospice.
