Mickey Andre Scaffe Sr. 7/29/59-6/8/18
Mickey was born in Dommartin-Les-Toul, France on July 29, 1959 to Raymond Albert Scaffe Jr. and Jeanine Billaud Scaffe. Shortly afterwards they returned to the United States. Like the true patriot that he was, he enlisted in the Marine Corps when he was 18 where he proudly served for 17 years and 5 months. While in the Marine Corps he received the Navy Achievement Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, as well as several other recognitions. Mickey was a fiercely proud American who served our country during Desert Storm. He was a lover of our country, our flag, and all of the freedoms that it represented. He would have laid down his life to protect those freedoms. His other loves were HarleVs and Nascar. There was never a Sunday during race season where he wasn't in front of the television watching the races. His love for his family was as strong as his love for his country and there was nothing he was prouder of. He is survived by his children, M. Andre Scaffe, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Garrison Balusek and wife Elizabeth, Charles Shaver and wife Lois, and Samantha Colville and husband Lee. He has 13 grandchildren to continue his legacy: Sabrina, Rebecca, Charity, Zachary, Alexander, Adam, Alyson, Christian, Aidan, Jonathan, Kraigen, Atticus, and Degglan. He also has 2 great grandchildren, Xander and Ryder. He is also survived by his siblings Patricia Vittetoe and husband Robert, and Rick Scaffe and wife Angie. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond Scaffe Jr. and Jeanine Billaud Scaffe. Services will be held at a later date in South Carolina where he will be laid to rest near his parents.
