Miguel Angel De La Rosa Cerna, of Allende, Coahuila, Mexico passed away on February 6, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday February 12th at 11 am at Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory. Family viewing will be Tuesday February 11th from 9 am-1pm and public visitations will be Tuesday, February 11th from 1-5 pm, Wednesday February 12th from 9-5 pm and Thursday, February 13th from 9-11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday 13th at Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory with Father Fernando of Holy Redeemer Church officiating. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.
Miguel Angel was born in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico to Jose Maria De La Rosa and Micaela Cerna on October 21, 1947. He graduated from The National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico with an Electrical Engineering degree (Instituto Politécnico Nacional of Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico). He was married to Rosa de Guadalupe Nuñez in Mexico City, Mexico. He retired as an electrician from Impulse Electric Ltd where he worked for 15 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jose Maria De La Rosa and Micaela Cerna de De La Rosa. His brothers Arturo De La Rosa, Andres De La Rosa, Raul De La Rosa, Jose Maria De La Rosa, II, sisters Graciela Acosta De La Rosa, and Alicia Valdez De La Rosa.
He is survived by his three children Miguel Angel De La Rosa Garcia, Alicia De La Rosa Garcia, and Paulina De La Rosa Nuñez, and 4 grandkids all of Mexico City, Mexico. Brother Jose Guadalupe De La Rosa Cerna of Mexico City, Mexico, and sisters Maria Guadalupe De La Rosa de Ruiz of Allende, Coahuila, Mexico and Maria de los Angeles De La Rosa de Lira and her husband Oscar Lira of Odessa, Texas and many, many nieces, nephews.
The family of Miguel Angel wishes to acknowledge their sincere appreciation and thanks to David and Elaine Johnston and the entire Impulse Electric Ltd family who loved and supported Miguel Angel through his journey of fifteen years in the United States.
