Ora Watkins

Ora Lee Watkins, 92, of Odessa Texas, passed away on April 12, 2022, peacefully in her home in Odessa Texas.

Ora Lee Watkins was born in Elk City Oklahoma to Walter and Inez Watkins on January 10, 1930. She attended elementary and high school in Elk City. She married LV Evans of Oklahoma. She later moved to Odessa Texas where is meet and married Sylvester Blaylock. Earning Associate Degree at Odessa College She work at Medical Center Hospital and Women and Children’s hospital as a dietician. She worked as a dietician for over 40 years.

Ora Lee Watkins is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Inez Watkins, 11 brothers and sisters, and her two sons.

Ora Lee Watkins is survived by her daughters Ann Casper of Elk City Oklahoma, and Carolyn Sue Blaylock of Odessa Texas,

Ora also leaves to cherish her memory 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Memorials may be given to Martinez Funeral Home. The family of Ora Lee wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all.

Visitation is set for Thursday April 21, 2022, from 10 am-9pm at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.

A celebration of Ora’s Life will be 1pm Friday April 22, 2022, at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church 1615 E Murphy Street with Rev. Darren Willis officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Keiajahnae Powell, Elijah Dawson, Merrcedes Whaley, Coffie Powell Jr., Coffie Powell Sr., and Johnny Mitchell.
