Oscar Urquidi

Oscar P. Urquidi, 49, of Odessa, passed away on July 16, 2021 in Odessa.

Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10am-9pm.  Prayer Service/ Rosary will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery - Los Angeles Section.  Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Oscar was born in Presidio TX to Patricio and Oralia Urquidi on June 30, 1972.  He went to Permian High School in Odessa and graduated from Baylor University in Waco.  He met Maria Valenzuela in 2001 in Odessa.  He worked as a mechanic for MMR for a few years.  Oscar had a kind, giving heart full of love, especially for his gremlins as he referred to all of his grandchildren.  He never met a stranger as he enjoyed conversating with everyone and anyone he met or came across.

Oscar is preceded in death by his father Patricio Urquidi, his maternal and paternal grandparents and grandson Isaiah Torres.

Oscar is survived by wife: Maria Valenzuela.  Children and spouses: Catrina Urquidi (Shahin), Jonathan Urquidi, Kitzia Urquidi, Domenica Urquidi, Tania Brito (Eric), Ruby Rios and Arturo Rios (Priscilla).  Siblings: Carina Tercero (Omar) and Cesar Urquidi (Gracie).  Mother: Oralia Urquidi.  Grandchildren: Jayden, Eliahs, Trina, Skylar, Sebastian, Alexa, Leah, Elijah, Isaiah, Noah, Alaina and Audrey.  Also nieces, nephews and multiple family members.

Pallbearers will be Arturo Rios, Jonathan Urquidi, Brian Ramirez, Alfredo Varela, Cesar Urquidi and Giovanni Melendez.
