Otilia Ramirez, 89 of Lubbock, passed away on April 10, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas.
Rosary will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Odessa, Texas at
St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at
Ector County Cemetery in Rosehill Garden. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home.
Otilia Ramirez was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua to Manuel and Manuela Arenivas on
September 4, 1926. She was raised in Tierras Nuevas Ojinaga, Chihuahua and went to school in
Esmeralda, Ojinaga. She married David Ramirez on June 23, 1945 in Tierras Nuevas Ojinaga.
She worked as a stay at home Mom and devoted wife for her family her entire adult life.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and planting in her garden.
Otilia is preceded in death by husband, David Ramiez, parents Manuel and Manuela Arenivas, daughters
Socorro and Elodia Ramirez, brothers Pedro & Alfonso Arenivas, sisters Carmen Brito and Agricola Sanchez.
Otilia is survived by sons Osvaldo and wife Amelia Ramirez, Rodrigo Ramirez both of Odessa, Servando Ramirez of
Ft. Stockton, daughters Maria Vasquez, Elodia Ramirez both of Lubbock, Josefina Lujan of Odessa, and brothers
Roberto Arenivas of Brownwood, Manuel Arenivas of Ft. Stockton, sisters Ramona Lujan of
Odessa, Angelica Medrano of Odessa, and Francisca Galvan of California, twenty-three grandchildren,
47 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The family of Otilia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Hill, Dr. Solis, Nurses Unlimited,
Provider Betty Martinez, family, friends and relatives
Pallbearers will be Carlos Lujan, Nico Ramirez, Melchor Ramirez, Alfredo Ramirez,
Lorenzo Vasquez Jr., Rodrigo Ramirez Jr., and Aaron Lujan.
