Pablo Diaz, 71. Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday Dec. 29, 2020 in El Paso Tx. From heart complications. He was born on Jan 15, 1949 in Fabens Tx. To Santiago & Rosa De La Cruz Diaz. Grew up in Juarez Mexico with his 6 siblings On April 11, 1976 He married the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with,Maria Elena Cabada and raised 6 children. At the young age of 18 he began his lifelong career in the brick laying business. Eventually settling in Odessa Tx. Building chimneys was his passion. In the 80’s he ventured out on his own and started “Pablo’s Masonry” bricking houses throughout Odessa mainly @ Mission Dorado. He enjoyed drawing and travelling just to see old architectures, amazed at their design He would often go home and make molds of what he would see, Prided himself in always giving his all in all that he set his mind to do, He would always say that his name was written in every job he did, taking pride in his work. always working hard to provide for his family. In 2009 he had a stroke which forced him to retire from work and began a long battle to recover from it but eventually taking its toll on him. He always said he would return to work, keeping a positive attitude even at his weakest moments. He is preceded in death by his parents Santiago Diaz, Rosa De la Cruz Diaz. Sister, Ana Maria Diaz, Brothers, Regino Diaz, Jesus Santiago Diaz, Felipe Diaz. His Son, Julio Diaz. Grandchildren: Vanessa Jimenez, Emilio Efren Diaz. He is survived by His wife, Maria Elena Diaz, 2 Sons: David Diaz & wife Imelda Diaz, Eloy Diaz & wife Valerie Diaz. Daughters: Susana Mendoza & Husband Jr Mendoza, Sonia Diaz, Aide Garcia & husband Juan Garcia. Grandchildren: Adam Diaz, Gabriel Diaz, Joe Garcia, David Duke Diaz, Jasmine Diaz, Cruz Diaz, Jonathan Diaz, Jacqui Diaz, Alicia Diaz, Sabrina Diaz, Kassandra Diaz, Anah Diaz, Karime Mendoza, Sebastian Diaz, Esteban Garcia, Mireya Garcia, Juan Garcia -Great-Grandchildren: Levii, Vasilii, Nikolii, Julii, Wyatt, Joaquin, Nayeli, Luna, Steven Visitation will be held at Martinez funeral home chapel on Monday January 18, 2021 from 1pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthonys Catholic Church at 10am on Tuesday January 19, 2021. Burial will follow immediately after at Ector County Cemetery Odessa II section.
