Paula Garcia

Paula Trevino Garcia, 80, of Odessa, passed away on March 27, 2017 in Odessa.

Visitation will be held 9am - 9pm Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30th at St. Joseph's Church with the Fr. Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Paula T. Garcia was born in Rio Grande City to Francisca & Rafael Trevino on March 2, 1937. She attended school in Rio Grande City. She married Rogerio (Roy) Garcia, Sr. on January 27, 1955 in Rio Grande City at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They moved to Odessa shortly afterwards. She worked for Furr's Cafeteria, and Albertson's for many years. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She helped with the voting polls for a number of years and was an active member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in the South Ranchito and also St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Paula T. Garcia is preceded in death by her parents, Francisca & Rafael Trevino, her sister, Antonia, brothers, Romeo Sr., Rodolfo Sr., Leonel, & Lorenzo Trevino and granddaughter Debbie Lee Casas.

Paula T. Garcia is survived by her husband of 62 years Rogerio (Roy) Garcia, Sr., children Belinda and husband Ricky Acosta, Roy, Jr. & wife Sylvia Garcia, Lino & wife Mary Sue Garcia, Delia and husband Dave Jakob and Ruben and wife Lucy Garcia, sisters Rafaela Guerra and Margarita Garza, and brothers Rafael Jr., and Rene Trevino, 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Richard Anthony Acosta, Rogerio Roy Garcia the III, Lino Joel Garcia, Jr., Ruben Garcia, Jr., Daniel Garcia, Sonny Hinojos, & great-grandson Luis Marquez.
