Petra Armendarez

Our beloved mother, Petra Subia Armendarez peacefully journeyed from her blessed life on the day of the Lord, Sunday, March 21, 2021 surrounded by family. Mom was blessed with 88 years of life here on earth and is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven.

Monday, March 29, 2021,  Public Visitation: 1: P.M. – 7: P.M. Memorial service at 7: P.M.

Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Funeral service will be held at Martinez Funeral home at 12:30 Noon with the Pastor Ernest Flores of Casa De Mi Padre officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill cemetery, arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mom was born 0n May 19, 1932 in Grand Falls, Texas to her mother, Ascencion Uranga Subia(deceased) and Father, Felix Subia(deceased).

She had 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Sister are Loretta Subia Carrasco(deceased), Epiphania,( Lingo) Uranga Subia, Florita Uranga Subia(deceased), Sophia Uranga Subia(deceased). Brothers are Ygnacio, (Nacho) Uranga Subia(deceased), Felix Uranga Subia Jr(deceased). and Frank, (Pancho) Uranga Subia(deceased).

Mom met the love of her life, our Father, Natividad Jiner Armendarez(deceased) and married him on July,10, 1951.  Mom and Dad brought three sons and three daughters into this life.

Mom Has 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and 16 great, great grandchildren and three great, great, great, grandchildren. Mom loved them all.

Sons are Richard S. Armendarez, (deceased) and wife Rosalinda V. Armendarez, Natividad S. Armendarez Jr. and wife, Florinda G. Armendarez and Raul S. Armendarez and wife,

Elizabeth Armendarez. Daughters are Estella A. Rangel and husband, Samuel Rangel, Maria Elena A. Munoz and husband, Alfonso Munoz and Diane A. Huerta and husband Carlos Huerta. Grandchildren are Patricia, Ricky Jr., Esther, Cody, Tina, Tanya, Tammy, Bryna, Bianca, Jonathan, Erica Nate, Isaiah and Kamilla.

“ My Grandma ever clever cool and cute, the roots of this family, whose branches extend beyond the reach of men, Hands of Buddha, peace of Ghandi,

saintly in the flesh and an angel ever within her Petra”.

“ Sunny Days will always remind me of Grandma. The sun is out and her smile is upon us. She received her wings on the Lord’s day, Sunday.”

“ She was a beautiful, kind, strong, yet gentle woman. With an attitude for sweets and love for birds…Fly away to your mansion in the sky grandma. Give Grandpa a hug for us”.

Mom was named Petra. The meaning of Petra is Hard Rock, and that she was for all of us. A solid foundation upon which she carried us.

Mom was kind, loving, strong in a Saintly Way. Mom Lead our family with a calmness blessed with the loving spirit of God. Always guiding us with her peaceful and understanding wisdom. We were blessed to have her as our mother. We celebrate her life here and the journey she has started with our lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. Heaven has a New Angel. Thanks for the blessings you bestowed upon us Mom. Much Love! La Familia!

We thank the Madison Medical Resort employees and Interim Hospice. They were so good to our mom. Your love and care for all people is valued and appreciated. The care of your patients is angelic. Pallbearers will be Carlos Huerta, Erica Armendarez, Jonathan Armendarez, Phillip Hill, Anthony Montemayor, and Ashton Ontiveros. Honorary Pallbearers are Patricia Castillo, Elena Hill and Rayn Olivas.
