Raymond Avitia

Raymond " Ramon" Acosta Avitia, 53, of Odessa,Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Ft Stockton, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Martinez Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.

Raymond Acosta Avitia was born in Lovington, New Mexico to Francisco and Aurora Avitia on April 9, 1964. He went to school in Odessa, TX and pursued his career as a commercial truck driver. Some of his past times were spent camping and fishing.

Raymond Acosta Avitia is preceded in death by his father Francisco Avitia and brothers Fidel Esparza and Gabriel Esparza.

Raymond Acosta Avitia is survived by daughters Krista and husband Mark Zeigler of Crane, Texas, Ashley and husband Randy Martinez of Odessa, Texas, Franchesca and husband Xavier Sanchez of Odessa, Texas; sister Sylvia Avitia of Odessa, Texas and mother Aurora Avitia of Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Gabirella, Anahli, Randy Jr., Emery, Xavier, Corbin and Malachi.
