Raymond Lara

Raymond Sanchez Lara, 36, of Odessa passed away on January 3, 2023, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be 10:00am to 9:00pm January 12, 2023, at Martinez Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held 2:00pm Friday 13, 2023,  at Martinez Funeral Home with Father Anthony Bala officiating. There will be no burial. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Raymond (AKA) Oso/Gordito was born in Odessa, Tx to Juan L. Lara Jr and Veronica S. Lara on October 27, 1986. He went to Odessa High School. He worked for overhead Doors for several years and went on to work for himself. Raymond loved his children and would do anything for them. He loved listing to music, cooking bbq watching football his favorite team was the Washington Redskins now known as the Commanders and he also loved hanging out with his brother ALMMAS Club. He loved his brothers and would do anything for them. Raymond was loved by many.

Raymond S. Lara is preceded in death by his Father; Juan L. Lara Jr., Grandparents; Juan Sr and Lorina Lara, His Uncle; Eddie Lara and many other relatives.

Raymond S. Lara is survived by his Mother; Veronica S. Lara, Maternal Grandmother; Rosa Nuncio, Daughter; Jaydah Lara, and Son; Amari Lara both of Odessa and their mother Victoria Vasquez. His two Brothers; Matthew S. Lara and Jacob S. Lara (Patricia Rez Lara) Two Sisters; Niressa M. Chavez (Vonnie Chavez), Victoria L. Orta (Manny Orta) of Odessa as well as Nine Nieces and Nephews; Isabella Barrera, Aaliyah Mendoza, Mia Orta, Robert Orta, Myrakle Harding, Giselle Juarez, Adam Lara, Skye Lara, Kataleya Lara and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Pallbears will be: Nacho, Bigg, Muerto, Cabezon, Booze, Smoke, Edge, Big Mex and Nugget.

The Family of Raymond would like to extend their sincere Thanks to the Nation of Red & Gold for all they have done. And a special Thanks to Noe Hinojos for being with us all the time through thick and thin. Including his Tia Vanessa Mancha who spoiled him with everything he wanted and needed.
