Rebecca Dominguez Mendoza, age 58, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 in Odessa.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Martinez Funeral Home.

Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.

Rebecca was born in Odessa to Margarita S. and Ponciano A. Dominguez on July 18, 1958. She attended Hays Elementary, Blackshear Junior High, and Ector Jr./Sr. High School. She married Marcos Mendoza on November 11, 1993 in El Paso, Texas. She was a part-time clerical worker and a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents Margarita S. and Ponciano A. Dominguez and brother Rojelio.

Rebecca is survived by her husband Marcos Mendoza; sons John Vega, Aaron Vega and wife Audawnica, Marco Antonio Bonilla and wife Karina; siblings Cecelia Cortez and husband Jerry Harrold, Eddie Dominguez and wife Aurora, and Danny Dominguez; grandchildren Tristyn, Lauren, Aiden, Kaylee, Jarron, Aaliyah, Alyssa, Alex, Marcos, and Pablo; great-granddaughter Jaide, various nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Mata, Jeff Mata, Tristyn Sanchez, Aaron Vega, Jarron Martinez, and Danny Dominguez. Honorary pallbearers will be Aiden Vega and Alex Vega.
