Rebecca Prieto

Rebecca Lara Prieto, 72, of Odessa, Texas gained her angel wings on Friday, August 20, 2021.

Visitation for Rebecca will be 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home Inside Chapel with a rosary at 7:00 PM.  Mass will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Odessa, Texas, officiated by Father Fernando Bonilla; burial will immediately follow at Ector County Cemetery, Odessa II Section.

Rebecca was born on May 6, 1949 in Pecos, Texas to Donaciano and Petra Lara.  She was a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend.  She loved cooking and crocheting and especially crocheting a blanket for every new baby in the family.  She also loved serving at the church.  She was a servant at heart always.  She will truly be missed by everyone who loved her.

She is preceded in death by various family members and most recently her son in law, Charlie Vasquez Jr.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Manuel Prieto; daughters, Roxanne Vasquez and Sandra Prieto of Odessa, Texas; Through the years she gained another daughter, Maria Gonzalez (Ralph) of Midland, Texas.  Her beloved and treasured grandkids, Giselle Martinez, Vanessa Vasquez, Serena Gonzalez, Taylor Gonzalez, and Ralphie Gonzalez.
