Richard Subia Armendarez of Odessa, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 in Odessa, Texas at the age of 64. He was born in Fort Stockton, Texas on April 7, 1952 to Natividad and Petra Armendarez.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Natividad Armendarez and his infant daughter Sabrina Armendarez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rosie Vasquez Armendarez of Odessa, their three children, Ricky Jr., Esther, and Coty (Rosalyn) Armendarez all of Odessa, and two grandchildren Angelica and Santos "Buddy" Sanchez of Odessa, and his faithful and loyal pet "Oreo", his mother Petra Armendarez of Odessa, sisters Estella Rangel (Sammy) of San Antonio, Texas, Helen Munoz (Poncho) of Odessa, Diane Huerta (Carlos) of Odessa, brothers Junior Armendarez (Florinda) of Odessa, Raul Armendarez (Liz) of Odessa and many nieces and nephews.
He worked for Permian Tank and Grimes Welding as a welder before retiring from the City of Odessa after twenty-eight years. He loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and camping. He loved to watch westerns and play dominoes (and cheat just a little bit). He loved Jesus Christ with all his heart, mind and soul till his last breath. He was loved by many and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held 10am -9pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am Friday, September 30, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Timothy Contreras officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County in Odessa Garden II. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home.
