Ricky Lynn Willis, 58 of Odessa, passed away on March 5, 2016 in Midland, Texas.
Visitation will be held 9am - 9pm with a wake at 7pm, Friday, March 11, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. James Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Willis officiating and Eulogy will be said by Rev Charles Sims. Burial will follow on Monday at 10am at Ector County Cemetery in Peaceful Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home under the direction of Funeral Director Nancy Olvera.
Ricky Lynn Willis was born July 15, 1957 to the late Joe and Doris Willis in Odessa, Texas. He attended Ector County ISD and later received his GED. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Missionary Church, Rev. C. E. Sims pastor. Ricky married Margaret Davis and to this union they had one son, Charles Tyrone Willis. He later married Junell Jones-Pearson and to this union he gained 3 daughters Kaly Jordan of Arlington, Texas, Kaleigh McKinnie and Kymberlea Gary of Odessa, Texas and 3 grandchildren Dekaree, Atalia and Azlynn of Arlington, Texas.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory son Charles Tyrone Willis of Dallas, Texas; Brother: Billy Compton of Dallas, Texas; 2 sisters Rose Whitfield (Tim) of Denver, Colorado; Carolyn Watkins (Melvin) of Odessa, Texas; Ex-wife Junell Jones-Pearson, 3 daughters Kaly Jordan of Arlington, Texas, Kaleigh McKinnie and Kymberlea Gary both from Odessa, Texas; nephews: Tony Moorer of Odessa, Texas, Tim Whitfield of Stillwater, Oklahoma; nieces: Doina (Dee) Watkins of Odessa, Texas, Jasmine Watkins of Denton, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 1 maternal uncle George T. Hawkins of Odessa, Texas; 1 paternal uncle Rev. D. Willis of Odessa, Texas; 4 aunts: Linda Chambers of Mexia, Texas, Dallena Willis McGee of Houston, Texas, Brenda Moore of Sherman, Texas, Lynette Harris of Stamford, Texas and a host of relatives and friends.
